A seemingly random comment to a neighbour in a quiet Exmoor village escalates into a long running feud that culminates in disaster. Disputes between neighbours can result in altercations on the driveway or in extreme instances a day at court accompanied by unwelcome attention from the press. But normally they do not result in murder, an attempted suicide and a trip to the gallows.
